The End

Whole night the candle burnt
Spreading evenly it's divine light
The wax melted
Like running water
But the wicker happily burnt
rejoicing the dance of life
Unmindful of its plight.

Suddenly there were crackling sound
The light burnt higher and higher
As it sensed the end was near
the candle was evermore sombre

"I lived my life to the fullest...
then why be sad "thought the candle.
So it burnt with all its might
Rejoicing as the end came near.
Then it flickered hardest one more time
In a bid to say goodbye
One last time to all its friends
Then snuffed out peacefully
With a serene smile
For it had fulfilled
the purpose of its life.

METAMORPHOSIS

The sun, a cauldron of fury shone mercilessly that summer,
Burning the porches and verandahs,
Curling the silent leaves within.

The reluctant children dragged in to take a nap
created more havoc within the burning bricks.

Her delicate, tiny fingers molded Ganapati idols
Out of the clay dug from the corner of children's park.

And all of a sudden the scorching universe
seemed to empty its full fury
over her little butterfly shoulders
heaving like a butterfly's wounded wings.
She seethed from within and ran away from the chattering friends
To her mother sleeping in the room.

Mummy I want to say something
She heard a slight murmur and gulped in hot air for courage
I know I will have to stay inside from now
- like didi
Please mummy, don't thrash me-
I didn't do anything wrong deliberately.

She heard a yell and pushed
herself further in the corner

Your sister will deal with it.
My blood pressure has surged suddenly.

She scurried away, careful
not to be too light on the slight feet.

The butterfly wings, soaked in blood,
Fluttered in anticipation of more fragrant meadows
And drooped, heavy with the weight of metamorphosis.

Roots

The train pulls away
just as I settle into my window seat
"Lucky you, every holiday you visit a new home"
My friend's refrain makes me smile

Three uncles and an aunt
from both sides
Four destinations
Two vacations a year
Every fourth trip to the same house
Very clockwork
Very precise

Ever since I could remember
That had been the routine
They were all kind
and loving
The rest of the time I was in the hostel
Shorter holidays were spent with
the sisters in the convent
who loved me even more
Orphan that I was

You wanted me to write on roots?
Well....
Yes of course
I do have them
No tap root
Only fibrous ones
Spread across
Four cities.

Art Of Living

ART-OF-Living !! These three words play a vital role in my life.Especially when you belong to an orthodox family, you follow the principles, guidelines and sayings of your elders without questioning or asking for the authenticity of it.
I am a Mamma's boy and I am tortured and teased by many people due to my silly habits. At some stage of life when you start knowing the reality, when you enter in the business world all such principles seem partially useful to you, semi conditional stage,I mean. I am an ardent Jain Follower.I don't drink, smoke, bark, abuse or shout like animals.I talk to girls, mostly girls,I don't waste time with boys there is a huge list and I am very selective about it.I don't find it wrong in any manner.Am I wrong?

I majorly talk to strangers.I don't see their faces or brand and we discuss certain topics upto an extreme level and finally some up the conclusion in form of a short written statements or writing articles or blogs hosted on various online websites and we are paid for it.So much of online business in form of creating blogs, websites, copy writing, editing, proof reading, making logos and may of the creative things.
So many people judge you, when you touch the reality of life, face different facets of life, cross certain aspirations and goals, you make friends and enemies both.I prefer making friends and stay away from those who prefer to become enemies, most of them take it as cowardice but I don't mind.I am super happy for their unkind behaviour. For me,my close friends and my family matter, rest I take people for granted.I do social service, sometimes for my own sake, sometimes for humanity.

I crave for nice things, everyone does, nobody take shit now-a-days.I am good at listening.I speak less and when it becomes necessity.Well, lets not dig deeper.I am surely gonna write an autobiography like GandiJI did but for that you need time, and if by chance I am caught red-handed  doing some illegal things and sent to jail,I will surely complete my dream of writing autobiography there. No time for it right now.Only two years and more things to accomplish.
Well,I support three NGO's "Make A Difference","AIESEC" and "PETA". I work for other in college "EWB-IET Chapter" and "Rotoract Club". So much of social work in past 3 years and it is still continue in form of projects(which deals with educating children and visiting oldage homes) till now.

The Art of Living is a not-for-profit, educational, and humanitarian NGO. The organization operates globally in 152 countries where it runs humanitarian projects and courses based on yoga, meditation and breathing techniques such as Sudarshan Kriya.

Founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,The Art of Living is an educational and humanitarian movement engaged in stress-management and service initiatives. The organization operates globally in 152 countries and has touched the lives of over 370 million people

The programs are guided by Sri Sri's philosophy of peace: "Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace." To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, The Art of Living offers stress-elimination programs which include breathing techniques, meditation and yoga. These programs have helped millions around the world to overcome stress, depression and violent tendencies.

I am from computer background, and software engineer find and see failure in everything.I am not against "ART-Of-Living" people or the work they do but the volunteers spreading their knowledge and awareness are mostly uneducated and dumb, here by dumb means idiots. They are making posters and popularizing their events via social and electronic media and they don't have proper knowledge of what they are spreading.
They spread poison in name of Art-Of-Living. If you genuinely feel like doing social work, spare some time,go to schools and old age homes and spread love, harmony and teaching and sayings of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Maharaj and all.
Don't use social and electronic media and misuse it naming "Art-Of-Living" events.Politics has lead it to some very poor level.Specially, the intelligent people (that includes me,unfortunately :P) can't digest the wrong doings.I am strictly against of such people who do social work for their own sake. Most of them donate to charity just to prove they are nobler than other people and the people who actually work hard never come into the picture as the credit is taken by the higher individuals. And it also does not reach the right audience.A poor child is not going to watch facebook links and apply for your events.Rich people are busy doing other things on Internet which I need not to mention on my social blog.

The Art of Living movement has the main message of spreading peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.Keep it that way only.Spread smiles, don't make it havoc.

PS: This Post is not to point out fingers on any particular individual but I face certain issues in between why I find it necessary to share it with everyone. No hard feelings for "Art-Of-Living" people including the girls who take lot of advantage of such events that I will tell some other day. :D

The Father And The Son

The father who had no money
saw a bike leaned against a wall
took his small son, put him on it
and went with him
several times around the block
Later, when he came back
to replace it
the bike owner slapped him hard
but the son was not there to see
so the dad's heart still sang inwardly
though his cheek was stinging red.

Change is Mandatory!

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then an Indian Politician came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Indian Politician was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Indian Politicians lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON!

If we are not changing our politicians every 5 years. It's high time we did it now.Change is Mandatory,at least here in India and other so-called-developing countries. We are on the verge of becoming a developed nation but we are socially, democratically and economically weak.We have resources. We have hard working people but still the awareness, the strong will power to bring a change is missing(specially in a country like India). The reason being our mundane life and our level of satisfaction. We are satisfied,we don't eager and ask for more.We lack courage and hence Politicians dominate us.There is so-called-democracy but is of no use as we are still dancing like puppets with the strings in hands of our politicians. It's a high time that we should bring a change(here, I mean Youth),because if this opportunity is lost we will always remain under-developed country and our progress will be obstructed and hindered.

Principles of Jain Religion!

Jain community consists of people working in the various fields of life like education, administration, farming, police, journalism, military and other jobs in private and public sector.Mostly followers of Jain religion are considered as Business people who according to Vedic philosophy comes under the category of "Vaisya"which is basically divided into four Brahmins,Kshtriya,Vaisyaand Sudra.
SEO
But that division was done by ancient rulers and kings which is still followed in many parts of our country(specially the rural areas.).In modern society, there is no such divisions.Jainism is followed by many small endogenous groups and tribal communities as well.It is widespread amongst many tribal communities of India including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kashmir, Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bengal etc.

The Jain philosophy gives major emphasis on the following principles which are strictly followed by their disciples.

1)There is no creator:
According to Jainism the universe is eternal and endless, it was not created.Jainism favours eternity.According to this, the real purpose of life is to attain "Moksha" or "Nirvana" state.

2)Equality: Jainism is staunch promoter of equality amongst human beings. It is against discrimination done on basis of birth, color, caste, creed, sex, nationality or any other issues.Spreading love,Harmony and Brotherhood is the prime motto of Jain followers irrespective of such discrimination.

3)Pluralism: Pluralism is basic and one of the most important features of Jainism.
According to it truth can be judged only after knowing different points of views and hence it somehow favours
the democratic form of government policy.Secularism or capitalism which compels and force people to follow their rules and regulations without uttering their words, without expressing their thoughts is strictly prohibited by Jain philosophy.

4)Non Possession: Among the list of 5 vows of monks and Laymen,
one is non-possession. In Jainism, possession is considered as the father of all sins.According to Jain philosophy
"Life is ephemeral and transient".People should work for attaining Nirvana(It is the state of complete peace and tranquility which indeed favours Non-Possession).

5)Celibacy: Bhagwan Mahavir(The twenty fourth incarnation of God according to Jain Philosophy)added this great vow and established its distinct importance. He said that all physical and mental miseries of the world are caused by the thirst for sensual pleasures. The ardent believers of Jainism and the people
turning into monks will have to follow this and it is considered as one of their important virtues which encompasses their all other virtues like truth, determination and sacrifice.

6)Vegetarianism:Jainism's ancient advocacy of vegetarianism is receiving global attention today due to severe food shortages in certain parts of the world and to the researches of the scientific community. It is the only viable answer to world hunger. It is now a fairly well established fact that whatever is necessary or desirable for human nutrition in meats or flesh foods equally well found in and at times actually derived from vegetable products. The followers of Jainism strictly follow this principle. Most of them even don't eat food afher the dawn.It actually treated like animal behaviour and it also becomes reason of killing of many small insects and microbes which become active during night time.

7)Non-Violence:This is again one of the chief and prominent vows considered in Jain religion.Giving pain to any living or non-living thing by any verbal or non-verbal means is considered as a sin.Peace and Harmony is the ultimate weapon used by Jain followers. However it doesn't favour acceptance of cruelty by other foreign external mediums.Jainism favours violence if it comes to self-defence.(By that,I don't mean if a mosquito bites you Jainism gives rights to you to kill that mosquito. That is a sin.).

If suppose your life is at stake and the pain that becomes inevitable and only violence is the last and the most necessary option left for your self-defence then it allows its disciples to use it for their self-defence.This is applicable to the attacks on nation, society, family etc. Jainism is not for cowards. All the ford makers of this religion were warriors.Until later medieval period, Jainism was dominated by many warrior communities.

There are many others like following the path of truthfulness,non-stealing etc but in this modern society their significance is somehow diminished and disciples of Jain religion don't give much attention to these values. In the words of the well-known Acharya Samantabhadra, "Jain Religion is something which takes the living beings out of the worldly misery and establishes them in the highest bliss."

This interconnection between religion and morality imparts to Jainism its distinctive feature. The people all over the world following these principles with truth, honesty and determination are the actual followers of Jain Religion and they actually possess the qualities of being called a "True and a Staunch Believer of Jainism".

Coaching classes! (Part 2)

So here are the few solutions and methods which will surely benefit us to fight against such scams and will certainly help us to make our educational system better and efficient.

  • A proper database of students should be maintained like how many total students coaching ing classes increasing day by day.

    • Fees must be taken by coaching classes on monthly basis and not in one go.This word 'Lumsum payment' should be abolished. It will help students to decide whether they are comfortable with the guidance given at coaching or not,and will also help students and their parents to decide whether coaching classes are fulfilling their requirements or not,or their money is simply going in vain that will further help to think them to invest their money for next month.
    • A proper database of students should be maintained like how many total students coaching institutes will coach for IIT next year.
    • Awareness must be spread.Question yourself, why coaching classes have not grown up in US for institutions like MIT??.Are those who are studying in MIT not interested in retaining Academic Excellence of the institution.Off course they do but they lack the idea of such an innovative Business like Indians. If MIT does not need coaching classes why does IIT need???..think logically...
    • There must be research available to know exactly the impact of coaching classes on the student's academic performance or the psychological, intellectual and physical repercussions.
    • A student himself should understand that spoon feeding and short-tricks which he learns from such institutes to beat exams are of no longer in use.Its only Hard work and Concepts that help him to enrich his knowledge. So basically student's dedication matters a lot.You can't make horse drink water, you only need is to take him to the river.
It is well known to everybody that the so called the most toughest exams in India..i.e.IIT-JEE has been successfully passed by the sons of a farmer, roadside stall owner,a mechanic, and a truck driver! Nothing left !Basically it is student's own talent,no teacher can make them sip the nector of traits of qualifying. All you need is a motivator,an instructor or a person to show the right direction that can lead students on the path of success.

Well, this requirement of an instructor could be fulfilled by school teachers as well. There's no need of coaching classes for this purpose. All we need is 'trained and qualified teachers' in schools, not just 'housewives' who are very desperate and eager not to be called themselves just a 'housewife' anymore.I don't find a need to elaborate this particular point, the big monkey like grin on your blessed faces says it all.:P.You got my point i guess :D

P.S.:Well  I'm actually going to open some coaching classes in future and make a huge amount of money.Lol,just kidding..but isn't it a good idea? Ah! Don't answer that! :P
